Fairlie’s Naval Architect and designer Paul Spooner has been commissioned to produce all the designs and drawings for the rebuild which will see Blitzen restored to her original offshore racing configuration.
Originally designed for R J Reynolds, son of the founder of the R J Reynold Tobacco Company, the yacht was built as an ocean racing yacht and was very successful wining her division in the Newport Bermuda Race on her first outing.
